  • Your website will draw patients in all by itself – Just because you’ve built a website for your dental practice does not mean that you’ll automatically get visitors to your site. Your website needs to be regularly updated with relevant material, such as in blog posts. You also need to incorporate SEO (search engine optimization).
  • Email is no longer an effective marketing tool – Email marketing is still as successful as ever. There are certainly ways to mess it up, but if done properly, email is still a strong tool for bringing in new patients and getting your practice name out there!
  • You only need online marketing – This may be the most common myth regarding online marketing. Internet marketing is absolutely important, but there are many other effective marketing tools including mailers, postcards, and billboards.
  • Online marketing is too expensive – Lastly, it is not true that online marketing is too expensive. In fact, the opposite may be true. Your dental practice can’t afford not to properly market online. Once you begin bringing in new patients, you’ll find that online marketing will pay for itself in no time!
