Your Blog Can Help Market Your Dental Practice

A+ A- A Main Content

Dental BlogWhen you think about marketing your dental practice, you may immediately think of postcards, mailers, websites, and signage. These are all great ways to get your business out there, but a blog page can also be quite beneficial when attempting to draw in new patients. Your dental blog can allow you to interact with your patients and share information with them.

When you hear about social media, you may initially think of Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, or Twitter, but a blog page may not have entered your mind. However, blogs are perhaps the best form of social media out there. Your dental blog page can be a great way for you to share information with your patients, interact with them, and allow them to share your content with friends and family.

Your Dental Blog Is a Marketing Tool

Below are some do’s and don’ts when using your blog as a marketing tool:

  • DO Introduce Yourself – Your blog is a great way to introduce yourself and your practice to your patients and your prospective patients. Your blog has the ability to give your dental practice its own voice and identity, allowing your patients to feel bonded with you and your staff.
  • DON’T Overwhelm Readers – We recommend posting a new blog once every 2 weeks. More than this and your readers may begin to feel overwhelmed by the content and will be less likely to return. Any less than this, and it may send the message that you’ve got nothing important to say. Twice a month seems to be the magic number in this scenario.
  • DO Educate Patients – Providing educational content is a great way for your to promote your services and showcase your knowledge and skills for your patients. Discussing dental health issues and how to keep a healthy mouth is a great way to drive traffic to your site, encourage your patients to ask questions, and open up the lines of communication.

Here at CTC National, we want to help you learn how to correctly market your dental practice and become successful. For more information on the services we offer, or if you have a question regarding online dental marketing, please contact us today.
